DBM boat sanitizing involves thorough cleaning and disinfection of your vessel’s interior and exterior to eliminate harmful bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens such as COVID and influenza, as well as removing biofouling. This process is crucial for maintaining a healthy environment on board and preventing the spread of invasive species.
DBM has developed a Government Approved Covid Sanitation Service for boats.
We have provided a number of services for approved Covid sanitisation to various international and interstate privately owned and chartered vessels.
The way it works will depend on the vessels origin and associated guidelines but generally speaking DBM will be prepped for the arrival of the boat, at which time we will greet the crew from a distance, they will disembark and be immediately escorted to the government approved location.
DBM will board the boat and wipe all hard surfaces with a number of different approved solutions, most of which contain 70% alcohol. We then steam clean all soft surfaces and remove any perishables or food items deemed to be contaminated. There are generally a few variables in the process relating to factors that we are well equipped to handle, and we provide certification of the process on completion.
