We have a number of clients who have us booked for our regular detailing and general maintenance program, and Searay 585 Sedan Bridge owner Stephen from Sanctuary Cove has kindly shared with us why he undertakes this scheduled plan for his pride and joy.

How often do you go boating?
When our boat is on the Gold Coast we head out at least once every month, more during summer. We decided to take the boat to Sydney to spend Christmas and New Years on Sydney Harbour. Really looking forward to that.

Why do you undertake a regular detailing and maintenance plan with DBM?
I have my boat washed down monthly regardless of whether we take it or not. I like to look after the things I pay good money for, same way I treat my house, my cars etc. I want the boat to remain in immaculate condition until the day I sell it, so a regular washdown and keeping on top of maintenance is critical.

DBM does a thorough external and internal detail when we hope off the boat and we always get a freshen up before we get on the boat, it’s a great service.

What has your service experience been like with DBM?
5 Star, nothing is ever a problem and they are very good at what they do. If they identify any maintenance issues that might need addressing they call me, we discuss a plan then they just get it done. It provides me great peace of mind. I also appreciate that they always answer their phone, even on the days off.

How important is it to use someone you can trust?
It’s paramount, especially with expensive items such as boats. If I can’t trust someone, I can’t use them, it’s pretty simple.
